Privacy Policy — ChatGPT Bulk Image Generator

ChatGPT Bulk Image Generator ("the extension") is a Chrome extension that lets you queue up multiple text prompts and generate images sequentially, either through the visible ChatGPT web interface or through the official OpenAI Images API using your own API key.

What data the extension stores

The extension stores the following data locally in your browser only, using Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.local and IndexedDB APIs:

• The list of prompts you paste or type, and their processing status (pending, success, error, downloaded, etc.)
• Your settings: working mode (UI Automation or API), filename preferences, language, and auto-download preference
• Your OpenAI API key, only if you choose to use API Mode and enter it yourself
• Generated images that haven't been downloaded yet, kept temporarily so they can be recovered if needed
• A local activity log (errors and warnings only)

None of this data is transmitted to the developer of this extension, sold, or used for advertising. It never leaves your device except as described below.

What data is sent over the network, and to whom

• chatgpt.com / chat.openai.com — in UI Automation Mode, the extension interacts with the visible ChatGPT page in your own logged-in browser tab (typing prompts, clicking the send button, reading the resulting image) and downloads the generated image using your own session. This uses only the visible interface; the extension does not read your conversation history beyond detecting the newly generated image, and never attempts to bypass login, CAPTCHA, or rate-limit protections.
• api.openai.com — only if you enable API Mode, the extension sends your prompt text and your API key directly to OpenAI's official Images API to generate an image. This is the same request your own code or OpenAI's own tools would make; the extension developer never sees this traffic or your API key.

The extension does not communicate with any server operated by the developer. There is no analytics, tracking, or telemetry of any kind.

Downloads

Generated images are saved to your own Downloads folder (inside a subfolder named ChatGPT-Bulk-Image-Generator) using Chrome's downloads API. Nothing is uploaded anywhere as part of this process.

Data deletion

You can delete all stored data at any time from within the extension: the "Full Reset" button clears prompts, status, cached images, and logs. Removing the extension from Chrome also deletes all of its local storage and cached data.

Third parties

The extension does not share any data with third parties. If you use API Mode, your prompts and API key are sent directly to OpenAI under OpenAI's own privacy policy, which governs that relationship — the extension is only a client making that request on your behalf.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this same URL with a new "Last updated" date.
